Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille is a polished casual restaurant with a delicious selection of made-from-scratch, farm-to-table American food with a Southern twist and a touch of international flair. The menu brings flavors from across the Gator Nation (and the Gator Nation is everywhere).
If you want to follow in Coach’s footsteps, try one of his favorites: Blackened Redfish, Macadamia Encrusted Mahi, “Emory & Henry” Seafood Pasta or the Spurrier House Salad.
Upstairs, at Visors, we have a completely different menu, bringing you some of our favorite dishes, like the Wagyu Beef Sliders, Avocado Street Corn and the Citrus Grouper.

While everything on the menu is amazing (it wouldn’t be there if it wasn’t) our patrons have consistently raved about these six dishes.
Blackened Redfish – Blackened Gulf redfish finished with shallot and thyme butter, served with grilled broccolini
Shrimp and Grits – Blackened Gulf shrimp and andouille sausage finished with an etouffee-inspired bechamel, served with Nora Mill Granary mascarpone & white cheddar grits. Available on the Saturday and Sunday Brunch menu.
Short Rib and Wild Mushroom Risotto – Slow-braised beef short ribs served with a wild mushroom risotto finished with beef demi-glace.
“Work ‘em Silly” Tomahawk Pork Chop (gluten free) – Maple bourbon butter, fresh smoked rosemary, tri-colored carrots.
Eggplant Rollatini (vegetarian) – Eggplant lightly breaded and rolled then filled with fresh ricotta, layered with homemade marinara and mozzarella cheese finished with sauteed peppers and balsamic.
“Emory & Henry” Seafood Pasta –Diver scallop, shrimp and lobster with artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers over squid ink linguine finished with seafood stock and chipotle butter.

Over his playing and coaching career, Steve Spurrier racked up quite a few trophies, championship rings and awards. The museum is a large glass display case where you can see just about all of them, including his 1966 Heisman Trophy. You’ll also find lots of photos and memorabilia, like the helmet, jersey, and shoe he used to kick the winning field goal against Auburn in ‘66. It’s a shrine to the game and features trophies from other Gator Greats like James Bates, Chris Doering, Shane Matthews, Danny Wuerrful’s 1996 Heisman and many more. The museum is free.

Outside the front door of the restaurant, you’ll notice a few plaques inlaid in the ground honoring our Gator Greats. Each year in December we pick three new inductees to be immortalized. But you can vote every day for your favorite Gator Great by voting on our website.

The HBC loves to dine here and take pics with his guests. While he is at the restaurant quite frequently, there’s no set schedule. He does try to frequent Spurrier’s or Visors at least twice a week. You might catch him blowing his whistle and asking you a trivia question, too!

Any podcasters out there who want to schedule time in our in-house studio should reach out to Freddie Wehbe to get more details.
